How do you take your coffee (or tea!)?
Personally, I enjoy a cappuccino or an Americano, which I will take black or a little milk.
What’s your favourite scent?
One of my favourite scents is the aroma of a bonfire. It carries with it memories of good times spent in the company of friends, indulging in delicious food and great conversations.
What inspires you to create?
I am captivated by the intricate patterns found in wood grain, fascinated by the strength and versatility of steel. These elements converge to ignite creativity and drive me to craft pieces that embody the harmony between the natural and the handmade.
How did you get started as a Maker?
My journey as a maker began with an appreciation for art and a deep-seated love for working with my hands. Through tireless experimentation with various materials and techniques, I discovered that wood and metal provided the perfect mediums for expressing my creative side.
What has your most exciting experience as a Maker been so far?
One of the most exhilarating aspects of being a maker is collaborating with clients to bring their unique ideas to life. Working closely with them, understanding their vision, and translating it into a tangible piece is a rewarding challenge.
What are some of the challenges you’ve overcome with your business?
Running a small business presents its share of challenges. Over time, I have tackled hurdles such as sourcing high-quality materials at affordable prices, ensuring consistency in production, and expanding our customer base.
What is one piece of advice would you give to new makers?
To new makers, I offer this advice: Embrace the journey and remain persistent. The path to creating requires dedication and practice. Do not be discouraged by initial setbacks or self-doubt; instead, let them fuel your determination.
