Kendra Malcolm: An Art Exhibition
Kendra Malcolm is a Winnipeg-based contemporary artist known for her vibrant, expressive animal portraits that capture personality, emotion, and playfulness. Focusing primarily on animal faces, her work is created to spark joy, connection, and lighthearted conversation.
Believing art can offer a moment of relief in an often heavy world, Kendra creates paintings that encourage viewers to pause, smile, and imagine the thoughts and personalities behind each animal she paints. Her work reflects both creativity and connection, inviting people to engage with art in a fun and meaningful way.
Having created art in places ranging from New York to Cambodia, Kendra brings a broad artistic perspective while remaining deeply connected to her local community. She is also the co-creator of “Alex and Mom,” a collaborative project with her daughter that creates custom pet portraits while raising funds for children’s hospitals.
Alongside her original paintings, prints, and gifts, Kendra teaches art classes that foster creativity, confidence, and curiosity, particularly for young artists. Through every aspect of her work, her goal is to make the world a little brighter through art.
