Workshop Topics
Lanterns – let it glow!
Bring a little light with you into the winter season. Lantern building in fall time has a special symbolic meaning in Germany. Every fall, lanterns are built in order to bring some light with us into the darker days of winter. So let’s make ours colourful and add some glitter and maybe turn them into rockets! We will upcycle bottles into rockets and learn some multimedia techniques along the way. Head home with a small glow to keep you warm and let your creativity shine.
Magic Window Mosaics
Let’s decorate light! We will plan, design, cut out and form our own transparent window stickers to bring some colour back into our own homes. Experiment and learn to mix colours through layering as we build patterns and create light collages. Stained glass is cool, but this is fun.
Plaster-sculptures inspired by the artist duo Chiaozza
Let’s get three dimensional! Inspired by the artist duo Chiaozza, you will learn how to bend and form wire to create plaster sculptures. Add sparks of life and individuality to your construction with the brightest neon colours.
Cut & Print
Let’s do our own wrapping paper, labels and Christmas cards with different print techniques. You will design your own stamp, learn about and practice monotype techniques and choose from all kind of papers to create your very own Art pieces. At the end of the workshop you’ll have a pile of fun prints that you can send or gift to your loved ones for Christmas, birthdays or just as a THANK YOU!
