How do you take your coffee (or tea!)?

What’s your favourite scent?

It’s impossible to choose just one!  If it isn’t already obvious in my product line of essential oil based products, I love essential oils!!!

What inspires you to create?

I love the business world and the ability that I can use my creativity to produce a product people can benefit from using!

How did you get started as a Maker?

I got started for two reasons, one of my favourite essential oil based products was being discontinued and my brother in law simply said, couldn’t you make that? Which inspired me to get started and secondly my daughter wanted to start using body sprays and what she was looking at was full of chemicals, so I thought, I can make something better!!!

What has your most exciting experience as a Maker been so far?

My most exciting experiences to date have been when my family and friends stumble across my products in stores and get to share in the excitement and when I’ve been a vendor at markets and people run up to say “I love your products!”

What are some of the challenges you’ve overcome with your business?

I started during the pandemic… enough said!!!!! I love change, and that doesn’t always present positive outcomes, early on I decided to change my look which meant relabeling and money lost however, it allowed me to make a product I was proud of!

What is one piece of advice would you give to new makers?

Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Dream big, be open to making small changes regularly and take risks that make sense for you!
