How do you take your coffee (or tea!)?
What’s your favourite scent?
My favourite scent is pine!
What inspires you to create?
My passion for learning serves as a constant source of inspiration, driving me to create. I am always eager to acquire new skills and refine my existing abilities.
How did you get started as a Maker?
I actually got started as a Maker while I was teaching myself Graphic Design. At the time there weren’t a whole lot of Winnipeg related designs and after being encouraged by friends and family to sell my prints at local craft markets my mind was opened to the world of freelancing.
What has your most exciting experience as a Maker been so far?
One of the most thrilling moments of my journey as a Maker was receiving requests from individuals residing far beyond Winnipeg, who expressed their interest for me to ship prints and cards to locations sometimes thousands of kilometers away.
What are some of the challenges you’ve overcome with your business?
The biggest challenge I overcame was finding my happy place. Graphic design is not my passion and will always serve as a hobby. It took many years of odd jobs and freelancing gigs to realize my passion has always been Video and Photography.
What is one piece of advice would you give to new makers?
Never stop learning and utilizing new technology.
